Ask us something elseEvery 2 to 3 years on north and west facing walls, 3 to 4 years on sheltered elevations. The altitude and clear air here mean UV does more damage than most people expect.
Almost certainly not. The grey layer is roughly half a millimetre deep. Sand it off and there is fresh cedar underneath. Unless boards are cracked or rotten, it comes back.
Cedar and timber cladding is what we specialise in. Brad also runs Lakeside Painting, so if your job includes trims, joinery or a bit of exterior painting, it is all handled by the same family business — one quote, one point of contact.
A maintenance re-stain on sound cedar is usually $15 to $25 per square metre. Restoration involving sanding runs $35 to $50 per square metre. We quote off your actual house, not a rate card.
Wanaka, Albert Town, Northlake, Lake Hawea, Luggate, Cardrona and Cromwell as standard. We do take work in Queenstown and Arrowtown for larger jobs.
