Plan
Cedar Maintenance Programme
We keep track of when your cedar is due, so you never end up with a restoration bill you could have avoided.
The whole point is that you stop thinking about it
Nearly every expensive cedar job we quote started as a cheap one that got left. People do not neglect their cladding on purpose, they just have no reason to look at it until it looks bad, and by then the bill has tripled.
The programme fixes that. We hold the record for your house, we know when each elevation was last done, and we get in touch when something is due. You say yes or no.
What it looks like
An annual soft wash, a written condition check while we are on site, and a recoat on the sunny elevations roughly every two to three years with the sheltered sides done less often. Not every wall needs the same treatment and pricing it that way saves you real money.
It suits owners who are away a lot, holiday homes, and anyone who would rather spend a bit each year than a lot every eight.
Annual wash included
Booked in each spring without you having to remember.
Elevation by elevation
North and west walls recoated more often. You pay for what actually needs doing.
Written record
Products, colours and dates kept on file, which matters when it comes to selling.
Priority booking
Programme homes get first pick of the good weather windows.
How it runs
The cedar maintenance programme process
The same person who quotes your job runs it, from the first walk around to the last one. No handovers, nothing lost in between.
- Step 01
Baseline
We get the cedar to a good starting point, whether that is a wash, a re-stain or a restoration.
- Step 02
Set the schedule
We agree what gets done and when, based on your house, not a generic template.
- Step 03
Annual wash and check
Every spring, with a short condition report after.
- Step 04
Timed recoats
We call you when an elevation is due. No surprises, no sales pressure.
Seen it in the flesh
Cedar restoration in Northlake
The original coating had failed on the sunny elevations and was peeling in sheets. We sanded the cladding back to raw timber and rebuilt the finish from bare.
- Chemical wash and full dry down
- Failed coating removed and cladding sanded to bare timber
- End grain sealed, damaged boards made good
- Two coats of penetrating oil stain, extra on north and west walls

Reviews
What people say once we have left
Bradley and his partner were excellent to work with. So obliging and did such a fantastic job. So easy to recommend and I will be using for any further work I need done. They did exterior staining on my property.
Bradley and team were reliable, easy to communicate with, and did a great job.
Thanks to Brad for doing such an amazing job on our Wanaka house. The newly stained cedar looks beautiful and the whole house has had a lift. It was very easy to work with Brad as out-of-town home owners. Highly recommended!

Cedar Maintenance Programme questions
Is there a contract or a fee to join?
No. It is a reminder and a booking priority, not a subscription. Each job is quoted and paid for as it comes up.
We are only here part of the year. Does that work?
It works especially well. We can access the property, do the work and send you photos. A lot of our programme homes are holiday houses.
What if we sell the house?
We can hand the maintenance record to the new owners. A documented cedar history is a genuinely good thing to show a buyer.
Get in touch
Not sure what your cedar needs?
Send three photos: the whole house, the sunniest wall, and a close up of the worst boards. We will tell you straight whether it wants a wash, a recoat or the full job.
